Baggage

Baggage rules

What your ticket includes, how to add baggage and what you can take into the aircraft cabin.

How can I check which baggage is included?

During booking, the baggage included in each flight's fare is shown. You can also check the dimensions, weight and price of extra baggage and buy it with your ticket.

If you have already bought your ticket, check the booking confirmation email or open your order. It shows the services purchased for each passenger.

Cabin baggage

Passengers take cabin baggage into the aircraft cabin. Depending on the fare, this may be a small bag under the seat in front or an additional suitcase in the overhead locker.

Before going to the airport, check the size and weight limits for your specific booking. Wheels, handles and outer pockets also count towards baggage dimensions under the carrier's rules.

Checked baggage

Checked baggage is handed over at the airport before security. It may be included in your fare or available as a paid extra; permitted weight and the number of bags vary.

If you need extra baggage, it is best to add it in advance. This service often costs more at the airport, and some options may be unavailable.

Liquids and prohibited items

Liquids in cabin baggage

Water, perfume and liquid cosmetics are subject to airport security rules. You can find airport information and contact details in our Airports section.

Batteries and dangerous items

Lithium batteries, spare batteries, flammable liquids and other items are subject to special restrictions. Power banks should generally be carried in cabin baggage.

Baggage for children and infants

Separate conditions may apply to pushchairs, car seats and other baby equipment. Check the rules of the relevant airline.

Sports equipment and musical instruments

Bicycles, skis, musical instruments and other oversized items should be booked in advance, as space may be limited.

If your bag exceeds the size or weight limit

The airline may charge an additional fee at the airport or require you to check your bag into the hold. We recommend weighing and measuring your baggage before departure.

How do I add baggage to my booking?

You can select and purchase additional baggage while booking your flight: its dimensions, weight and price are shown before payment. If your ticket is already purchased, contact our support team and provide your WF order number, the passenger, flight route and required baggage weight. We will check availability and pricing. Baggage may also be available at the airport ticket desk, depending on the airline, but it may cost more.

We recommend arranging extra baggage early: it is often more expensive at the airport and some options may no longer be available.

Practical questions before flying

Can I take perfume or cosmetics on board?

Perfume and liquid cosmetics in cabin baggage are subject to airport security rules for liquids. Before departure, check the permitted container sizes and packing requirements at your airport. Rules may also differ at connecting and return airports.

Can I take one litre of water?

Water is a liquid, and airport security rules determine whether it can pass through screening. Find your departure airport's contact details in our Airports section.

Is a suitcase already included in my booking?

It depends on the fare purchased. A small underseat bag and a cabin suitcase are not the same service. Check the baggage quantity and weight in your booking confirmation. Start with your confirmation email or open your order.

Can I add another suitcase after buying my ticket?

Contact support with your WF order number, passenger details and the baggage weight you need. We will check the price. Extra baggage may also be available at the airport if the airline permits it.

Where should I carry a power bank?

Power banks should generally go in cabin baggage, not checked baggage. Check your airline's rules on battery capacity and quantities.
